SUGAR PLUM PUDDING CAKE 
2 c. sifted self-rising flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. salad oil
3 whole eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. cooked prunes
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 1 oblong pan 9x13x2 inches.

Sift dry ingredients together. Stir in all other ingredients in the order given. Turn batter into pan. Bake 40 minutes. While cake is baking, make glaze.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. white corn syrup
1/2 c. butter

Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over cake in pan while hot.
