BREAKFAST BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. butter or Crisco (or a combination of both)
1/2 c. milk or half & half
2 egg whites

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Using a pastry blender or a butter knife, blend in butter or Crisco.

Beat egg whites with milk. Slowly stir milk mixture into dry ingredients until a very soft dough forms.

Transfer dough onto a lightly floured work surface. Pat or roll out to a 3/4-inch thickness.

Knead 10-12 times. Cut and bake on ungreased pan for about 15 minutes or until golden.

Makes about 24.
