BREAKFAST BREAD 
1/2 c. butter or shortening
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten well
1 c. milk
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar well; add well-beaten eggs and milk a little at a time, alternately with sifted dry ingredients. Bake in greased shallow pan so bread is about 1 1/2 inch thick when baked. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into squares and butter while hot. A delicious breakfast bread.
