SWEET POTATO CAKE 
1/2 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
4 tbsp. hot water
2 1/2 c. cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. sweet potatoes, grated
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Mix all dry ingredients together, then mix dry ingredients with liquid ingredients. Mix potatoes and nuts together. Pour in cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until done.

SWEET POTATO CAKE FROSTING:

1 lg. can of milk
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. coconut
1 c. nuts

Combine sugar, milk, butter, egg yolks, and vanilla in saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 12 minutes. Stir occasionally until thick. Remove from heat. Add coconut and nuts and beat until soft.
