CHERRY DUMP CAKE 
1 can pie cherries
1 can pie apples
1 yellow cake mix
1 c. finely chopped pecans or walnuts
2 sticks butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease (do not flour) 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix apples and cherries; spread into pan. Crumble and sprinkle dry cake mix over fruit. Sprinkle nuts on top of cake mix and pour melted butter evenly over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Turn oven off and let cake sit in warm oven additional 15 minutes before removing.
