FRUIT CAKE 
1 lb. candied pineapple (chopped)
1/2 lb. candied cherries (chopped)
1/2 lb. walnuts (chopped)
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together and add to chopped fruits and nuts. Combine with sugar mixture and mix well. Grease loaf pan and dust with flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Test with toothpick - if necessary, bake a little longer.
