In answer to Kim, for the dressing I use: 1 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons vinegar (can use apple-cider vinegar), 2 tablespoons sugar, 4 tablespoons milk, 2 tablespoons minced onion. Mix thoroughly and add to vegetables. Refrigerate a few hours before serving. Enjoy!

By salad dressing do you mean vegetable oil?

Hi Ma Vermaelen,

Salad dressing for this recipe would be something similar to Miracle Whip Salad Dressing.

This salad was awesome! I ususally buy it at my grocer's and thought I should just start making it at home. It was great. I will slowly tweek the recipe to try to take the "salad dressing" out of it and make it more healthy. Overall 4 stars! Enjoy!

This salad is great as-is or you can add some cooked and cooled mini cheese tortellini to make it more like a meal! You will also need to add a bit more dressing to make up for what the tortellini soak in.

I have been looking for a recipe for broccoli salad for a while, but they all have something in them that I either don't like or can't eat. I found this one recently and made it today. It is awesome, I love it, the best I ever had, I will be making it again.

Am sure the salad dressing they are referring to is simply mayonnaise. When you mix the mayonnaise with the other four ingredients listed below it... it makes a delicious dressing by itself. I fix a similar dressing for my coleslaw (without adding onion).
