DOUBLE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1 tbsp. milk

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Blend in syrup and milk. Shape into 2 inch roll; chill. Slice 1/4 inch thick (or thinner). Place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet; spread each with 1/2 teaspoon peanut butter (plain or crunchy). Cover with remaining slices; seal edges with fork. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
