BETTE'S CRANBERRY JELLO SALAD 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. red Jello (any flavor)
1 lb. fresh whole cranberries
1 (#2) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Mix Jello with 2 cups boiling water and 1 cup cold water. Let cool, but not set. Grind cranberries (frozen are easier to work with). Mix cranberries, drained pineapple, celery, sugar, and nuts. Add to cooled Jello. Let chill overnight until well set.

I have always made this recipe. My Mother made it also years ago. We always added a chopped orange peel and all. My children never liked it but all the older adults loved it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
