TACO SALAD 
1 1/2 lb. hamburger
6-8 oz. grated cheese
1 head lettuce
1 lg. bottle Catalina dressing
1 lg. onion, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic powder (optional)
1 lg. can kidney beans, drained
2 lg. tomatoes, chopped
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 sm. bag tostado strips
Salsa or taco sauce (optional)

Brown hamburger with onion, salt and pepper, garlic powder. Drain well. add taco seasoning mix and beans. Toss until well mixed. Let cool to room temperature.

Combine meat mixture with torn lettuce, the tomatoes and cheese. Mix well, but gently. Pour dressing over mixture, mix. Add chips, toss to coat. Serve immediately. Serves 6. (May add salsa or taco sauce as desired.)
