GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE 
3 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cake flour
1 tsp. cornstarch
2 eggs
4 oz. butter
2 oz. bitter chocolate
1 pt. evaporated milk
Vanilla flavoring
Salt
10" pie crusts
1 can flake coconut
Chopped pecans

Mix sugar, cake flour, cornstarch together and add 2 eggs. Mix in well. Then add 4 ounces melted butter, 2 ounces bitter chocolate (melted together). Mix only to smooth out. Add 1 pint milk, vanilla and salt to taste, gradually keeping bowl scraped down well. Stir in the vanilla and salt.

Sprinkle flake coconut over bottom of pie crust. Sprinkle pecans on top of coconut. Pour batter into pan and bake approximately 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 3 pies.
