BARBECUED BEEF BRISKET | |
3-4 lb. beef brisket 2 tbsp. liquid smoke 1 tsp. onion powder 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. garlic powder 2 tsp. celery salt 2 tsp. green pepper Put brisket on large piece of foil. Mix remaining ingredients for a paste. Spread paste on both sides of brisket and seal air tight and keep overnight in refrigerator, if possible. When ready to bake, open foil and turn meat over. Re-seal and cook 5 hours at 250 degrees. Remove, open foil and add 1 cup of barbecue sauce. Return to oven 1 hour. When meat is hot, cut against the grain. Serve hot or cold. |
