BARBECUED BEEF BRISKET 
Whole beef brisket
1/2 c. Open Pit
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. dry red wine
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1 chopped onion

Mix all ingredients EXCEPT ONION. Pour over brisket and marinate overnight. Put onion on brisket. Cover pan with foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, reduced to 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Brisket cuts much better if cooked a day ahead then reheat to serve. Serves 8 to 10.
