CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BAR 
1 c. butter
3 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
3 tsp. vanilla
powdered sugar

Combine butter, sugar, eggs and extract. Beat well. Add sifted flour, soda and salt. Mix well. Add nuts (optional) and chips.

Bake at 350°F in large jelly roll pan for 25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes, dust with powdered sugar and then cut into bars.
