It needed more butter. Without it you still pretty much had a powder mixture. I would bump it up to 3/4 to 1 cup of butter.

I love finding recipes that I can let my kids help me make (they are 2 yrs old and 3-1/2 yrs old). I used this recipe and pre-measured all the ingredients in little bowls. Both my kids loved the cookies and it was really easy for them to help me bake. Used an electic mixer to make sure its all mixed well.

i had to add more flour .. which is weird because a couple of people said they needed to use more butter..... and I didn't have a bag of choc chips but I had trail mix in the house so I put that in instead that was a mix peanuts, raisins, chocolate, pineapple, and banana's and it came out great!

These cookies were great!! I am fourteen and want to be a cook someday and go to culinary arts school after college if possible. I made these cookies with my 10 year old sister and her friend and they came out great my whole family loved them especially my 16 year old brother who loves food in general. They are so easy to make and they turn out delicious my only problem with them is I had to use more butter than required and they don't make a ton of cookies. Other than that I love them and have saved this recipe on my computer.

This dough, when made with white sugar and without chocolate chips, is great for scones and sugar cookies.
