AUNT FANNY'S CABIN SQUASH 
3 lbs. crookneck squash
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. cracker meal or bread crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper

Boil squash until tender. Drain thoroughly, then mash. Add all ingredients except half of the butter to the squash. Melt remaining butter. Pour mixture in baking dish; spread melted butter over top and sprinkle with bread crumbs or cracker meal. Bake 1 hour at 375 degrees.
