AUNT FANNY'S BAKED SQUASH 
3 lbs. yellow summer squash
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. cracker meal or bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 eggs
1 stick butter
3-4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Salt and pepper may be increased to taste.

Wash and cut up squash. Boil until tender; drain thoroughly, then mash.

Add all ingredients except 1/2 stick of butter and bread crumbs. Melt remaining butter.

Pour mixture in baking dish, then spread melted butter over and sprinkle with bread crumbs.

Bake in 375 degree oven for approximately 1 hour or until brown on top. Serves 6 to 8 people.
