BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

Bologna Sandwich

Has anyone tried frying the bologna? It really does make this recipe extra special. My family does prefer the mustard on the bread. If this is for a dinner party or special occasion don't forget the sliced tomatoes. Of course, make sure you plan the timing -- it will take anywhere from 3 to 5 more minutes, but well worth the effort.

The only way this works is: Bologna 1 slice min. I use 2 or 3, 2 slices of bread your call on type, 2 slices of bacon, cooked well, lettuce, 1 slice sharp cheese, dion mustard. Serve with a large dill pickle Make a bunch. Everyone is going to want 1 or more.

Ahh... Bologna sandwiches... childhood memories... Military brats... when food was running out at end of month, there were always bologna in the freezer and if no bread left we used saltines, just used mayo on 8 crackers and cut bologna into 4 pieces, the brothers and I had Crackers Sandwiches,4 for each of us, yummy!!! Then in later years we made lightly toasted white bread with butter on one side of bread, bologna then yellow mustard on second piece of bread. Then we graduated to plain white bread, mayo, bologna, sliced kosher dill pickles and Lay's Classic potato chips and bread, smooshed and enjoyed with chocolate milk or grape kool aid. THE BEST!!! Good Memories. Had a Blast reading all 13 pages!!!! HAGD!!

I have prepared many of these recipes and enjoyed them with gusto (a free addition, usually spontaneous) and SPAM. It doesn't get any better than that.

Start your day by scrambling 2 eggs, add a touch of milk to make it fluffy....then add diced pieces of bologna....fry on both sides.. When browned - remove from heat - put on a slice of cheese, cover with lid - heat will make cheese melt. Put between 2 slices toast with your favorite mayo, etc., Its just a "cheesy scrambled egg & bologna" but OH sooooo good.

My bologna sandwitch is two slices bologna with one slice of white american cheese in between, lettuce, tomato, bread & butter pickles, and mayo on both top and bottom of sand.

How utterly refreshing to see a variety of thoughtful comments expressed without the seemingly ubiquitous 4-letter foulities found in so many other comment sections.
Good to know so many appreciate an unregionalized, easily customizable, all-age friendly, traditional, basic offering. I always liked mine on Wonder Bread, then flattened! M-mmmm-m good!

Should it be beef or the chicken pork mix bologna? My son won't eat the beef kind but I think it would make this so much better-also I may add ketchup (lol). Btw. We once used a crinkle cutter to cut the bologna into "flatworms" and used ketchup as blood. It was the best Halloween party food that a 7 year old could ask for-even the adults ate it!-best of all-no leftovers-those bloodsuckers ate it all!
