BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

Just tried the printer friendly version of this recipe. Fabulous! A whole new take on an American favorite! The printer cleanup was a little messy, but my Epson sure looks satisfied. That low ink message I was getting on my computer??? GONE! Wonderful. Just wonderful!

No! The mustard goes ON the bread. And a slice of onion makes it even better. Please cut the sandwich in half before eating.

I made this recipe and it was delicious. The next time I made it I changed it a little and put mayonnaise on the bologna and added cheese on top of the mayonnaise. It was awesome!

Y'all, this has been GREAT! My husband died two years ago and this close to Christmas - well, tonight I was real close to having a "pitty party." Until I decided to look up a recipe for SOMETHING, by now I don't even remember what it was, and stumbled upon this wonderful recipe and all the reviews!! Best therapy I could have had. (Some of the variations I have never heard of and MUST try.) But I wonder, does anyone have a recipe for a REALLY, REALLY good PB and banana sandwich?!?!?!?!

Ok, I love all the variations mentioned, and I've always treated a bologna sandwich like a flat hotdog. In Canada we put mustard AND ketchup on hotdogs, so I do the same for my bologna sandwiches!

This is my favorite sandwich but the bologna needs to be fried til dark around edges. I cut the bologna slices in 1/2, cut about a 1 1/2 inch slit in each piece in the middle of the bologna to keep it from puffing up when fried, then fry in a spray of Pam or a little oil in a pan or griddle. Also a little onion is great, doesn't matter which side of the bread the onion goes on and of course a little French's mustard, prefer it on the inside of the top piece of bread. Try it if you've never tried it before--great!

When kids were small, made bologna reubens - any yellow cheese, sauerkraut, of course, white bread and bologna. Buttered outside, grilled it and voila - a knock-off of the real thing.

Bologna Italian Style. Saute some onion and pepper and when soft add 2 tbsp of marinara sauce and warm on low heat. Fry up some bologna. On white bread or soft hamburger bun put bologna on bottom and pour O & P and sauce on meat and top off with bun. Great with Nestles Chocolate Milk.

Just thought I'd pass along my Grandpa's recipe for "Blue Dog" sandwiches. Load the family into the old 50's Chevy truck, head to the store and pick up two pounds of bologna, a loaf of bread, jar of mustard and a bottle of "Pop" for each family member. Head on out toward Tenkiller Lake and stop under a nice tree alongside the road. Have everyone pile out, make the sandwiches on the truck fender, throw a few rocks while eating and then proceed on swimmin. Be sure to wait an hour before going into the water to avoid getting cramps. This recipe serves 9. Thanks for waking up some great childhood memories.

Growing up we would fry the bologna in a pan until it formed a bowl shape. Toss it on the plate and fill it with mashed potatoes topped with cheddar cheese. Diced green onions to top it off. Delicious! My kids love bologna this way.

I like generic bologna... much better... the name brand is really thin and moist.

Tomatoes do not go on bologna sandwiches. Mayo & mustard mixed together go on bologna sandwiches put it on both sides of the bread. Only Ketchup goes on fried Bologna sandwiches. Heavenly!
