“MORTON® ASIAN 5-SPICE STEAK RUB” IS IN:

MORTON® ASIAN 5-SPICE STEAK RUB 
This savory mixture of Morton® Coarse Sea Salt and Asian spices creates a flavorful finish for steak.

4 teaspoons Morton® Coarse Sea Salt
4 teaspoons Granulated sugar
1 teaspoon Chinese 5-spice
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
2 teaspoons Red pepper flakes
2 Tablespoons Ginger, freshly chopped
2 large, or 4 small Steak (any cut of your choice)

Combine Morton® Coarse Sea Salt, sugar, Chinese 5-Spice, cinnamon, red pepper flakes, and chopped ginger. Mix well to create a rub blend.

Coat the steak with the rub and transfer to a non-corrosive container. Let sit for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours for a deeper flavor.

After meat has marinated, cook steak to 145°F for medium-rare, or to desired temperature by grilling or searing in a hot pan on each side and finishing in a hot oven.

Let steak rest for 5-10 minutes after it finishes cooking. Slice and serve.

Chef’s Suggestion: The rub mixture can be made in advance and stored in an airtight jar until ready for use.

Estimated Times: Preparation - 15 minutes.

Yields 2 to 4 servings.
