BEER BATTER CHICKEN | |
1 chicken cut up 1 bottle Guiness Stout 1 Spanish onion 1/2 c. flour Black pepper 2 c. corn oil or Crisco for frying Peel and slice onion and place in bowl or Ziploc bag along with chicken (skinless is fine if you want to cut down on fat intake). Pour in bottle of Guiness Stout (or any beer 12 ounces). Let sit in refrigerator at least 4 hours or freeze for future use. Now discard beer and onions and roll chicken in flour to which black pepper has been added. Fry gently 10 to 15 minutes on each side. Drain on brown paper bags. The crunch and coating will amaze you. Enjoy! |
