AUNT BERTA'S DILL BEANS 
6 tbsp. real butter
6 tbsp. flour
2 c. liquid (juice from beans & milk)
4 tbsp. chopped onion
Salt & pepper to taste
Dash of Tabasco sauce

1 tsp. dill seed 1 tbsp. bacon fat

Boil together beans, dill seed and bacon fat for 30 minutes. Drain liquid and reserve for sauce. Place beans in baking dish. Melt butter in skillet; add flour and stir to smooth paste. Add liquid, onion and seasonings. Cook on low heat until thickened.

Pour sauce over beans. Top with 3 slices of buttered, cubed bread. Just before serving, bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until bread is browned. Better if prepared 24 hours in advance and refrigerated.
