“CHOCOLATE-PEANUT BUTTER DROPS” IS IN:

CHOCOLATE-PEANUT BUTTER DROPS 
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
1/2 cup milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, salt, corn syrup, milk and chocolate. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until blended.

Scrape down sugar crystals from side of pan. Cook over medium heat to soft ball stage (234°F on candy thermometer).

Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter, oats and vanilla; beat until mixture begins to thicken.

Quickly drop by teaspoon on waxed paper.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
