PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL CHOCOLATE
CHIP COOKIES
 
These cookies are GREAT!

1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/2 cup peanut butter (your favorite)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups oatmeal (Quaker)
1 cup wheat germ
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips (Toll House)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream together butter, peanut butter and both sugars. Add flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda to sugar mixture. Mix well, then blend in eggs, vanilla, oatmeal, wheat germ, chopped nuts and chocolate chips. Dough should be stiff.

Roll heaping teaspoon full into balls and slightly flatten on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Makes 5 to 6 dozen depending on size of cookie dough balls.
