BAKED WINTER SQUASH 
2 sm. Acorn or Butternut squash
Salt
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. maple syrup

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut squash in half and remove the seeds. Sprinkle the cut sides of the squash with salt. Place cut side down in a baking dish and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until squash is easily pierced with a fork. Turn over and make indentations with a fork across the cut side of the squash. Spread with the butter, drizzle with the maple syrup and return to the oven for a minute or two. Serve hot.
