BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
I used to make this when I was a kid.

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
2 c. brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

In saucepan, melt over low heat, butter. Remove from heat, add brown sugar, and stir until blended. Set aside to cool. Once cooled, stir in eggs. In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add and blend to sugar mixture. Add nuts and vanilla.

Spread onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes in 350°F oven. Cool and cut into squares.
