REFRIGERATOR ANGEL BISCUITS | |
1 cake dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 5 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. salt 3 tsp. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 3/4 c. shortening 2 c. buttermilk Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift dry ingredients together a couple times in a large bowl. Cut in shortening, add buttermilk and yeast mixture. Work dough only until well moistened. Cover and refrigerate to use as needed. Bake at 400 degrees until nicely browned, about 10 minutes. |
