SOUR CREAM FRUIT CAKE | |
1 c. shortening or butter 2 c. sugar 3 eggs 3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. raisins 1 c. chopped walnuts 1 c. mixed fruit (opt.) 1 pt. sour cream In electric mixer cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Lastly add raisins, fruit and walnuts; mix well. Put into greased floured tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. Loosen while hot by shaking pan. Cool; turn onto cake plate and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. |
