SHOCK CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. water
1/4 c. oil
2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 lb. powdered sugar
6 tbsp. milk

Bring butter, water and oil to a boil. Sift together flour, sugar and cocoa. Stir in boiling mixture. Add buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes with an electric mixer. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Frosting: Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour on hot cake. Cool and serve.
