ROCKY ROAD FUDGE BARS | |
1/2 c. butter 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate 1 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 3/4 c. nuts FILLING: 8 oz. cream cheese, softened (reserve 2 oz.) 1/4 c. butter, softened 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 1/4 c. nuts 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips FROSTING: 2 c. marshmallows 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. milk 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate 3 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch pan. In saucepan, melt butter and chocolate. Spoon in flour and remaining dry ingredients; spread in pan. In small bowl, combine all filling ingredients, except nuts and chocolate chips. Beat 1 minute at medium; stir in nuts. Spread over base mixture. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake 25 to 35 minutes. Immediately sprinkle marshmallows over top. Return and bake 2 minutes. In saucepan, heat butter, milk, chocolate, and cream cheese until blended. Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Pour over marshmallows and lightly swirl. Refrigerate until firm. |
