DOUGH: 2 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. Crisco 2/3 - 3/4 c. milk FILLING: 2 c. ground ham 2 tbsp. butter, melted 1 tsp. prepared mustard CHEESE SAUCE: 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. cheese, grated 1 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt Combine ingredients for dough and roll out. Mix up filling and spread on dough. Roll up dough jelly roll fashion and cut into 1" wide slices. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with cheese sauce. To prepare cheese sauce, melt butter in medium saucepan. Add flour and salt, and cook 1 minute. Slowly stir in milk and cook until thick and bubbly. Add grated cheese and stir until melted. Good for church luncheons. |
