GRACE'S ITALIAN S COOKIES 
COOKIE:

3 extra lg. eggs
6 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. sugar
Pinch of salt (opt.)
6 c. flour
1 1/4 c. Crisco
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

1. In a small bowl beat eggs, vanilla and milk; set aside.

2. In a large bowl mix flour, Crisco, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix until Crisco is totally mixed into dough.

3. Pour egg mixture in, 1/3 at a time, mixing by hand until dough is soft and smooth.

4. Sprinkle extra flour on cutting board, knead dough until smooth.

5. Roll into any shape (roller pin out flat if using cookie cutters) or shape into an "S", roll into long strings, cut into small pieces, twist to make "S".

6. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

3/4 to 1 box confectionery sugar
Milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla

7. FROSTING: Mix sugar with milk (as needed) and vanilla until frosting is thick and smooth. Frost and top with sprinkles if desired. Let air dry.
