Italian Meatballs and Spaghetti

 David Taylor (Ohio) says:
My three kids absolutely love these meatballs. The sauce is just the right blend of spices. It is quickly becoming a house favorite. Prep time is nothing for a delicous homemade meal. (The only change I made was to add 1/2 pound of sweet italian sausage instead of a full pound of ground beef.)

Very good and very EASY to make. Husband loved it and he is picky about his spaghetti. I did use jar sauce though to save some time b/c I was in a bit of a hurry. Will use this recipe often for meatballs

I add fresh parsley to both sauce and meatballs (also increase the meat with Italian (chicken, lower in fat) sausage. Also add bay leaves to sauce and a dash of red pepper flakes. Deglaze the pan I browned the sausage and meatballs in (brown crust keeps things from falling apart) with a splash of balsamic vinegar.
