CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT BARS 
LAYER #1:
2 c. sugar
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 sticks butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. flour

Melt chocolate and butter over hot water and blend. Combine eggs and sugar in bowl, and beat until sugar is dissolved. Add flour to eggs, then nuts and chocolate mixture. Pour into 11 x 15-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.

LAYER #2:
3 c. powdered sugar
6 tbsp. butter, softened
3 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. peppermint flavoring
Green food coloring

Mix all ingredients together and spread on cooled first layer.

LAYER #3:
3 squares unsweetened chocolate
3 tbsp. butter

Melt together and blend well. Spread over second chill layer and chill again. Cut in squares.
