JOHNNY B. GOODE GREEN BEANS 
3 cans green beans, cut whole or mix
2-3 slices bacon (I prefer peppered bacon)
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. garlic salt or powder (or to taste)
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 cup melted butter

Cook bacon and cut into small pieces. Add green beans with juice, saving 1/2 a can of juice in case its needed later.

For marinade, mix the remaining ingredients, pour over green beans, cover and refrigerate overnight.

Add reserved juice if beans appear dry.

Bake uncovered at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Serves 9-12
