This batter was FABULOUS! Crispity crunchedy goodness. We made fish and shrimp, was amazing. This batter would be perfect for tempura batter as well. My mother describes this batter as "light, crispy, delicious, it showcases the flavors of the foods". Thank you for this delicious, easy to prepare batter.

Tried this recipe. Works fabulous for fish. I even forgot to add the baking soda and it came out fine! Highly recommend this to everybody. If it's too thick just add a little some water from a spray bottle. Best cheap and easy fry batter (=^-^=)

Love this recipe! On any given day, every item needed is already in the cupboard. Quick, easy, tasty. I am considering forgoing the salt and adding a pinch or two of lemon pepper in my next batch.
