PECAN BLONDIES 
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
5 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Stir flour with baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream together sugar, egg, butter and vanilla. Gradually stir in flour mixture until well blended. Stir in 3/4 cup of the pecans; spread evenly into a well-greased 8-inch square baking pan. Top with remaining chopped pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and top springs back when lightly touched in center. Cool in pan; cut into bars. (To use a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, double the ingredients.)

Just made this. It is so good! Was trying to use up extra pecans and brown sugar that just sits. Very simple to make on a whims notice. The whole family will chow this down.
