NANA'S CHUNKY RAISIN CHOCOLATE
CHIP OATMEAL COOKIE
 
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or soft shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups oats
4 (1 oz. ea.) squares semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (Baker's)
1/2 cups raisins

Cream butter or shortening, sugar and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add 1/3 of sugar and brown sugar mixture at a time. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Add flour and baking soda. Beat well.

Stir in oats, chocolate, and raisins. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet, 2-inches apart.

Bake at 350°F for 13 to 15 minutes Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes then transfer to wire rack.

These cookies are absolutely amazing! They are a perfect combination of chocolate and raisins, with just the right amount of oatmeal. I love how they're not too sweet but still have a great flavor. This recipe is definitely a keeper for me!
