CLABBER CAKES (PANCAKES) 
1 pint flour
1 pint buttermilk or clabbered milk
1 small heaping teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

Mix in order given. Grease pan with 1 teaspoon butter before each cooking.

This was an old recipe written on a card found in my grandmother's kitchen file that I thought I would share.

Thanks for sharing, Amy! I've been tiring to find recipes using clabber. Haven't been sure how much to use. These pancakes are so different and very good. I added a bit of sugar. Will make again though with a little less soda.

So good! Used 8 day old raw milk, gone sour in the fridge, not sweet any more. Mixed half WW flour, half Bread flour and milk. Then sifted in heaping tsp baking soda, mixed. Then salt, mixed. Used a large whisk. Fried in butter in medium heat iron skillet. Wow. Just so fluffy and soft in the middle but crispy on the edges. Yum.

Thank you for posting! I wanted a clabbered milk pancake recipe and you came to the rescue! As a bonus, no eggs are required, which I don't always have on hand.
