SAUERBRATEN (GERMAN - ROLAUNDER) 
Steak, sliced thin (round, Swiss, etc.)

If you want, soak steak in vinegar an spices for a few days. Brown meat and keep on bottom of electric skillet. Simmer with meat:

Quartered onions
Quartered potatoes
Quartered carrots
Quartered dill pickles
1 can tomatoes, chopped up

Put several raw pieces of bacon on top of mixture. Put about 2 tablespoons mustard, 4 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ginger, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and 1 bay leaf. Put in some water and pickle juice, boil for several hours. Before serving add more pickle juice and thicken, serve over hot buttered noodles.
