ROLLED APPLE GRUNT 
1 qt. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
Milk enough to make soft dough

Roll out and spread 1 quart peeled and sliced apples over dough.

Roll up and place in large deep pan.

our over it the following:

SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 pt. water

Baste often while baking. Bake 1 hour in moderate oven.
