ROLLED OATS APPLE PIE 
CRUST:

1 c. quick oats
2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. liquid shortening
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. salt

FILLING:

1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. water
6 lg. apples, sliced

Crust: Mix all ingredients reserve 1/2 cup for top. Form rest in 8 inch pie pan.

Filling: Cook all ingredients except apples on medium high 5 minutes. Add apples cook 5 minutes more. Pour in shell top with 1/2 reserve crust. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
