OLD FASHIONED CREAM OF TOMATO
SOUP
 
32 oz. canned diced tomatoes
9 oz. chicken broth, undiluted
1 oz. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 pinch baking soda
2 c. cream

Mix the first 6 ingredients together and simmer 1 hour. Heat the cream in a double boiler and add to the hot tomato mixture.
