QUICK AND EASY CHEESE BREAD 
1 egg
3 3/4 c. buttermilk baking mix (Bisquick or other)
1 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 3 oz.)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Beat egg in a large mixer bowl. Add remaining ingredients and beat on medium speed 1/2 minute. Pour batter in pan and bake for 1 hour. Cool. Can be served immediately or refrigerate up to 24 hours. To reheat wrap in foil and heat on oven rack at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

Added 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1/2 tsp. fresh thyme, 1/2 tsp. basil to give additional depth of flavor. Also 1 tbsp. grated Parmesan and increased cheese to 1 cup.
