BLACKBERRY COBBLER 
5 to 6 c. fresh berries
1 c. sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk

Cook the berries and 1 cup sugar until juicy. Set aside.

Cream together the 1 cup sugar and butter. Add the flour, salt and baking powder to creamed ingredients. Then add the milk gradually. Grease a cake pan. Add batter. Strain juice from berries. Sprinkle berries on top of batter. Pour juice over the batter and berries.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes.

You can also use raspberries.
