BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
Cut into serving size pieces 3 1/2 to 4 pounds spareribs. Place in a single layer in large baking pan. Heat to boiling.

1 1/2 c. water
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 med. size onions, chopped
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dry mustard

Pour sauce over meat, cover pan. Chill for several hours or overnight. Bake, covered in hot oven, 450 degrees, for 30 minutes; remove cover. Continue to bake basting frequently in moderate oven, 350 degrees, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender.
