BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
Preparation time: 10 minutes. Baking time: 1-1 1/2 hours.

4 lbs. pork spareribs
1/3 c. salad oil
1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. molasses
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. Tabasco
1 c. catsup

Lace ribs on rotisserie skewer and secure with fork. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Grill spareribs slowly over hot coals, basting frequently with barbecue sauce about 1 hour or until meat is tender and browned.

Note: To cook in an oven, place spareribs in shallow baking pan and bake in hot oven (425 degrees) 15 minutes. Pour off excess fat. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking 1-1 1/2 hours, basting frequently with sauce. This barbecue sauce may also be used over chicken; omit catsup, if desired.
