Moist Chocolate Cupcakes

My twelve year old made these while I was taking a nap (meaning she had no help whatsoever - it was a surprise for me) and let me just say - THEY ARE AMAZING! She followed the recipe exactly (didn't substitute the oil for milk) and they are moist and rose well. Didn't even need icing. This recipe is a definite keeper - easy and delicious. I will never buy a boxed cake mix again.

I'm 13 and its summer vacation and I was totally bored so I decided to make something. We didn't have any cake mixes at home so this one worked great for me. I forgot to use vinegar but they turned out fabulous! I cut out the center and put chopped fresh strawberries in and made homemade vanilla icing. It was delicious!

From what i've read of the comments anyone whose cupcakes came out dry just over-baked them which can be an honest mistake seeing that the recipe is a little misleading in bake time. It says 25 minutes but depending on altitude and weather the cupcakes should be done between 20-25 minutes. Hope this solves some of your problems!!!

SIX STARS!!!... oh wait...the limit is five. This recipe is awesome!! Chocolate lovers might want to up the cocoa powder to 1/2 a cup or depending on the brand 3/4cup. I also added a table spoon of vanilla extract. This is my sixth time making it now, my parents love it, sister loves it, my boy friend (who's a chocolate lover) can't get enough of them. And the best part is that they really are moist and don't get dry when stored in an air tight container ^_^ THANKS LEEZA!!

These were really great! I tried the recipe with 1 cup pudding the first time and they were almost too moist and didn't rise very well; but were delicious. They came out easier to eat without adding the pudding.

I have been making this recipe for 55 years. We called it the "Wacky Cake." Recipe is the same, only thing different we always added 1 teaspoon vanilla. Baked it in a 8x8 pan. Everyone always loved it and add a butter creme icing. I can't imagine this cake being dry. Must have over baked it. Excellent recipe!

I made these and they tasted like something from my high school cafeteria.. AWFUL. they were flat and I tried to cook them quicker because I was hungry, so I cooked them at 500 degrees for 10 min. THEY BURNT. Awful recipe.

Needed a quick, moist cupcake recipe to make with my kids. Was unsure about choosing a recipe that lacked eggs, but this was great! I made no alterations and the cupcakes came out moist, springy and very chocolatey.

Only cooked them for 20 minutes, they turned out moist and perfect! Used the milk instead of water. Great Recipe!

Oh MY GOODNESS!!! These are soooo moist but I did do chocolate milk (homemade) in place of milk, and did the substitute of mixing butter and egg in place of 1/2 cup only oil. For those of you that say theres came out dry it is because of your cooking time and perhaps use a light colored pan and cupcake papers. GOOD LUCK YUMMY!!!
