CARAMELS 
2 c. white sugar
1 c. light or dark corn syrup
3 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook sugar, corn syrup and 1 cup milk until forms a soft ball. Then add another cup of milk. Cook until forms a soft ball. Then add the last cup of milk, salt and butter. Cook until forms a soft ball. Add vanilla (if desired, add nuts). Pour in butter. Let stand 6 hours then cut.
