1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 oz. cream cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour, spooned into cup
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream butter, then add sugar, beating until smooth and fluffy. Add cream cheese, blend in eggs, vanilla and lemon extract.

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda together; stir into cream cheese mixture. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
